General Terms and Conditions
1. Definitions
Glorious Guzzles: the trade name of the business providing bespoke in-home wine tasting services, registered in The Hague.
Client: the individual or legal entity entering into an agreement with Glorious Guzzles for services.
Services: any in-home wine tasting, consultancy, event, or related services provided by Glorious Guzzles.
Agreement: the contract (written, verbal, or digital) between Glorious Guzzles and the Client for the provision of services.
2. Applicability
2.1 These General Terms and Conditions apply to all offers, quotations, agreements, and services by Glorious Guzzles.
2.2 Deviations from these conditions are only valid if agreed upon in writing.
2.3 The applicability of any general or purchase conditions of the Client is explicitly rejected.
3. Offers and Booking
3.1 All offers, quotations, and promotions are non-binding unless explicitly stated otherwise.
3.2 A booking is only confirmed once Glorious Guzzles has received a 50% non-refundable deposit of the total event fee.
3.3 The remaining 50% balance must be paid no later than 7 calendar days prior to the event date.
3.4 Glorious Guzzles reserves the right to refuse bookings at its discretion.
4. Prices and Payment
4.1 All prices are in euros and inclusive of VAT (BTW), unless otherwise stated.
4.2 The 50% deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.
4.3 If the remaining balance is not paid at least 7 days prior to the event, Glorious Guzzles may cancel the booking and retain the deposit.
4.4 In the event of late payment, Glorious Guzzles may charge statutory interest and reasonable collection costs in accordance with Articles 6:96 and 6:119 of the Dutch Civil Code.
5. Cancellation Policy
5.1 Cancellations by the Client must be made in writing.
5.2 The following cancellation fees apply:
More than 14 days before the event: no further payment is required, but the 50% deposit is non-refundable.
Between 7 and 14 days before the event: 50% deposit is forfeited; no refund.
Less than 7 days before the event: 100% of the total fee is due and non-refundable.
5.3 In case of force majeure (e.g., illness, extreme weather), Glorious Guzzles will offer an alternative date or a refund of any payment beyond the non-refundable deposit.
6. Client Obligations
6.1 The Client is responsible for ensuring that the venue is suitable for the wine tasting event (clean, smoke-free, adequately lit, and with enough seating).
6.2 The Client must ensure that all attendees are aged 18 or older and provide proof of age if requested.
6.3 The Client must inform Glorious Guzzles in advance of any allergies or dietary restrictions relevant to the event.
7. Alcohol Consumption and Responsibility
7.1 Glorious Guzzles promotes responsible drinking. Clients and guests participate in tastings at their own risk.
7.2 Glorious Guzzles is not liable for any consequences arising from alcohol consumption, including incidents or accidents occurring during or after the event.
8. Liability
8.1 Glorious Guzzles exercises reasonable care in the delivery of its services and equipment.
8.2 Glorious Guzzles is not liable for any indirect or consequential damage, including loss of profit, emotional distress, or reputational damage.
8.3 Liability for direct damage is limited to the amount paid for the event, unless the damage is caused by intentional misconduct or gross negligence on the part of Glorious Guzzles.
8.4 Glorious Guzzles accepts no liability for damage caused by participants or third parties during or after the tasting event.
8.5 The Client is responsible for ensuring the safety of Glorious Guzzles’ equipment (e.g., projector, laptop, wine accessories) during the event. In case of loss or damage caused by the Client or their guests, the Client will be held liable and must offer full financial compensation for repair or replacement.
8.6 Participation in tastings and alcohol consumption is entirely at the guest’s own risk. Glorious Guzzles accepts no liability for accidents, injuries, or damage resulting from the event.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 All content, materials, handouts, branding, and presentations used during the wine tastings remain the intellectual property of Glorious Guzzles.
9.2 It is not permitted to reproduce, distribute, or share such materials without prior written permission.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
10.1 Glorious Guzzles processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / AVG).
10.2 Client data will only be used for the performance of the agreement and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
11. Complaints
11.1 Complaints must be submitted in writing within 7 days after the service has been delivered.
11.2 Complaints can be submitted via email to Jared@GloriousGuzzles.com.
11.3 Glorious Guzzles will aim to respond to complaints within 14 days.
12. Applicable Law and Disputes
12.1 Dutch law applies to all agreements with Glorious Guzzles.
12.2 Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in The Hague.
